Make Room For More of What You Love To Do
I encourage my clients to do more of what they love to do by using their unique gifts, talents and strengths intentionally, so this is me practising what I preach with my blog.
In 2012, I started a blog called Prairie Girl Wonders to share my love of writing and photography.
That seems like a whole lifetime ago! I started it when I was going through a stressful time in my previous career and needed a creative outlet to start feeling like me again.
Writing has always felt natural to me. I wrote poetry, lyrics and stream of consciousness pieces throughout my teens and early 20s. I called my collection of work Prairie Girl Wonders. As work and life got busier, I mostly stopped writing. (Unless writing endless work emails counted!)
In 2012, I bought a camera (Nikon Coolpix P510) when I discovered that photography gave me a different way to express myself creatively. I’m not a great “technical” photographer, but I enjoy sharing how I see the world around me through images.
It still exists, but I abandoned Prairie Girl Wonders when I began building my coaching website in 2020. I’ve tried several versions of a blog here, but none of them have “stuck”. I felt like I was writing about things a thousand other coaches share, and one thing I value is originality.
This is where I’ll share photography, writing, quotes and connect it to personal development, change and career transition.
